Can you imagine growing up with FIVE brothers? (T49A5 Nebula)

There are a lot of fan favorites among the T49As, but this an appreciation post for one of the members who doesn't get as much attention, T49A5 Nebula. Nebula is T49A Nan's only daughter. Can you imagine growing up with FIVE brothers?

While she may be overshadowed at times, Nebula did get some well deserved accolades earlier this year when she won the Bigg's side of the bracket in our March Madness Eyepatch Extravaganza.

You can see why in this shot from Thursday evening in San Juan Channel, showcasing that lovely eyepatch - you can even see the light glinting off her open eye! The T49As have been doing their best to make a dent in the central Salish Sea harbor seal population this week and on several occasions Nebula was seen taking the lead.

I still think of Nebula as one of the babies of the family but at 7 years old it won't be too long until she might have a calf of her own. She's certainly learned from one of the best moms and hunters around, so it will be fun to watch her story continue to unfold as she gets older.
