The Orca Behavior Institute was founded by a small group of passionate community scientists who believed it was important to begin carefully tracking the changes in behavior and habitat usage of Southern Resident and Bigg's killer whales of the Salish Sea. Since 2015, the scope of what we do has grown, and so has our team. Get a brief introduction to the current members of Team OBI below.
